Drinking alcohol can increase the risk of having a miscarriage, still birth, premature birth and fatal Alcohol Spectrum disorder (FASD). FASD is a disorder that affects the cognitive, physical, emotional developments of the child and this condition will not give you a happy and healthy baby.
You may have taken some alcohol before finding out about your pregnancy, that’s fine but once you find out, never go back to it. In social settings, you might feel pressured to drink alcohol, especially in the early stages of pregnancy, please do not fall to it, the health of your baby is more important.
